How the day is worked out
What a Choghadiya is
Sunrise to sunset is divided into eight equal parts, and sunset to the next sunrise into eight more. Each part is one Choghadiya - around an hour and a half, but longer in summer and shorter in winter, because it follows the sun rather than the clock. That is why these timings are different in Delhi and in Dubai on the same day.
Why the same hour is Amrit today and Rog tomorrow
Every Choghadiya is ruled by a planet. The first window of the day belongs to the lord of that weekday - Sunday to the Sun, Monday to the Moon - and the rest follow the classical order of the planets. Change the weekday and the whole sequence shifts. Nothing is looked up in a table for the country.
Rahu Kaal, Gulika and Yamaganda
Same eight parts of the daylight, and the weekday decides which one. Rahu Kaal is the second part on a Monday, the third on a Saturday, and so on. Gulika and Yamaganda are two more of the eight, each with their own weekday order. By custom nothing new is begun in them; work already under way carries on.
Abhijit Muhurat
A different division: the daylight split fifteen ways, of which Abhijit is the eighth - the middle one, which is why it always sits on midday. About 48 minutes. It is traditionally not observed on a Wednesday.
Where the numbers come from
Sunrise and sunset are computed from your city's latitude and longitude using the standard NOAA solar-position method, with the usual allowance for refraction and the width of the sun's disc - the same allowance almanacs use. Nothing is fetched from anywhere; it is arithmetic, and it is usually within a few minutes of a printed panchang for your city.

A rashi is not quite the same thing
In Indian astrology your rashi is a moon sign: which of the twelve the Moon stood in at the moment you were born. That needs your birth time and place, not just the date, and for most people it is a different sign from their sun sign. Parwah never asks for a birth time, so Parwah does not know your rashi and does not claim to. The Hindi names are here because they are the ones families know.
Where the reading comes from
All twelve are fetched once a day from a free, open horoscope source and kept for the whole family, so nobody's phone asks for them again. If a reading does not arrive, that sign is left blank - we would rather show nothing than write one ourselves.
What it is for
A shared thing to read together, the way a family reads the paper. It is not advice, and nothing else in Parwah - medicines, documents, reminders - is decided by it.
